Licensed Teacher Trainer, The Pilates Center & Gyrotonic Master Trainer

Jessica Gowen’s journey into mind-body wellness began in 1998 when she discovered Pilates while recovering from a diving accident that ended her competitive swimming career. Jessica trained extensively with The Pilates Center (TPC) in Boulder, CO, where she is now a Licensed Teacher Trainer. She is also certified in the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® and GYROKINESIS®, having studied directly with the method’s creator, Juliu Horvath. Her expertise includes working with post-rehabilitation clients, pregnant and postpartum women, and elite athletes.

In 2006, Jessica founded CORE Buckhead to create a wellness space focused on exceptional teaching and client care. She later developed CORE Movement Education, offering teacher training programs. In 2021, she partnered with Activcore, where she serves as the company’s Vice President of the Southeastern Region. In 2024, she founded CORE Ormewood to bring transformative movement practices to her own community.

Jessica is passionate about continuing education and is a leader in Pilates and Gyrotonic instruction. She holds a B.A. from Allegheny College and a Master of Public Management from the University of Maryland. A Decatur native, she lives in Ormewood Park with her family.
