Redcord Suspension

Redcord suspension training activates and strengthens deconditioned muscles through simple movements and a process called neuromuscular re-patterning.

Using cords, bungees, and slings to support your body weight, Redcord offers a versatile, full-body workout that leverages gravity and destabilization to challenge your muscles.

Unlike Pilates and Gyrotonic sessions, Redcord has very little choreograpy; the exercises are simple “lift up, release down” movements in all planes: supine (on your back), prone (on your stomach), side lying, and standing.

Simple movements make it easy for your teacher to see & adjust for small imbalances and misalignments that cause pain or poor joint mechanics.

If you struggle with weak or hard-to-activate muscles, Redcord can "wake them up" and improve your movement efficiency, so you get more out of your Pilates or GYROTONIC® sessions.

We offer Redcord only in private lessons, so you have the full attention of your instructor, who will make micro adjustments to the equipment set up to ensure that you are getting the right balance of support and challenge from the equipment.
