Semi Private Intro Package

  • We offer both Pilates and Gyrotonic semi privates. This package includes:

    • Three 50-minute group Pilates and/or Gyrotonic apparatus classes

    • Maximum of 5 Pilates students or 3 Gyrotonic students

    • Two week complimentary membership to our virtual studio.

    • $99 for three 50-minute semi privates

    • 4 week expiration

    • 10% discount on your first three-month membership commitment if booked by the end of your intro package

Virtual Studio Intro Package

*If you are new client, you will be prompted to register with our online booking system before you purchase your introductory package. A registration form is also embedded below. CORE Ormewood will open in November, 2024, and the Virtual Studio will go live 12/1/2024.

 FAQs

  • A lot depends on your individual situation, movement background and personality/preferences. That said, here are some very general guidelines:

    • focus on "core" strength: Pilates

    • focus on mobility/flexibility: Gyrotonic

    • need to work on alignment and repatterning: Redcord

    • bone density concerns: Pilates (load) or Gyrotonic (balance)

    • back pain: Pilates and/or Redcord

    • neck pain: Gyrotonic

    • breast cancer survivor: Gyrotonic

    • dancer: Gyrotonic

    • hypermobile: Pilates

    • breathwork: Gyrotonic

    • yogi: Gyrotonic

    We're happy to talk about which method is best for your situation, or you can do a private intro package and try one of each session type to decide.

  • Once you find the right method, format, teacher and schedule for you, you can start your regular practice with a membership or package. Plus, with our virtual studio add-on membership, you can keep moving from home, whenever it works for you.

  • Prices vary based on the type of membership or package and the experience level of the instructor.

    All sessions are 50 minutes long

    • Private lessons, fully certified instructor: $80-110 per session.

    • Private lessons, apprentice instructor (minimum 200 hours of training): $40 to $50 per session.

    • Private lessons, trainee (fewer than 200 hours training): $15-$25 per session.

    • Semi private lessons, certified instructor: $40-$60 per session with 2-5 attendees.

    • Mat classes, certified instructor: $20 to $37.50 per session with up to 8 attendees.

  • Our memberships have a three month inital term, and then move to a month-to-month commitment.

    Memberships give you the best per-session rate and access to our standing schedule to book recurring appointments with the same instructor, day and time each week. Unused membership sessions roll over as long as you have an active membership.

    Packages of 5 or 10 lessons are more flexible from a billing perspective because there is no fixed monthly payment. Packages carry a four-month expiration.

  • We find that clients make the fastest progress when they combine twice-a-week in-studio experiences with homework or self-practice from home.

    Can't make it in twice a week? Not to worry! Because our methods shift your fundamental movement patterns, even a consistent once-a-week practice can have a HUGE impact on your body - and your mind - over time.

  • We have ample free parking in our parking lot at Ormewood Square. If it is lunchtime during the week or between 5 and 8 pm on week days, the parking lot can get crowded.

    There is on street parking available on Ormewood (north side of Ormewood Square), Woodland (west) and Gracewood Avenues (south).

  • Yes. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy and we strictly enforce it. We've learned over the last 18 years that making exceptions makes the policy stressful for clients and teachers alike, so we do not make them. Our policy is reflected on all of our new client paperwork and receipts, and we thank you in advance for abiding by it.

  • Pilates and Gyrotonic exercise are known for their therapeutic and rehabilitative qualities. That said, our teachers are NOT medical professionals. If you have an injury or acute pain that hasn't been assess by an orthopedist or physical therapist, we are well connected in the medical community and can refer you our for assessment prior to your first visit. We also have a ton of experience working with medical providers and can collaborate on your plan with anyone who is on your medical team.

  • It depends. If you've never done Pilates or Gyrotonic, we might ask you to wait until after delivery to come see us, unless you have clearance from a medical provider or physical therapist who is familiar with our work. You do NOT need prior experience to start Redcord during pregnancy.

    Pilates, Gyrotonic and especially Redcord exercise are fantastic for people recovering from pregnancy and delivery, usually starting about 6 weeks after birth, with clearance from your doctor..

    In both cases, we recommend starting with private instruction.

  • Absolutely!! We can tailor our sessions to meet almost anyone and any body type where they are on their fitness journey. We are not an aesthetically driven studio. No peach emojis here.
